Sabbatical Agnes Moors: Book project “Emotions: theories and empirical research” KU Leuven
I plan to finish the writing of a book on emotion theories, entitled: “Emotions: theories and empirical research”. In 2014, I was asked by Keith Oatley to write a book for the series "Studies in Emotion and Social Interaction," published by Cambridge University Press. This is the longest-established book series published by a university press in the field of emotion research. Among distinguished authors who have published in it have been Paul ...

The relation between appraisal variables and emotions: a research using indirect experimental methods Ghent University
We examine which aspects of a situation and/or person are crucial in the elicitation of emotions such as anger, fear, and sadness. Since we assume that emotion-antecedent information processing often occurs automatically, we use experimental tasks suitable for examining automatic processes, such as variants of the sequential priming tas and the Simon Task.

Development of accurate mathematical models for ship motions, ship manoeuvres and the interacting forces involved Ghent University
Having accurate mathematical models of ship motions, ship manoeuvres and the influence of wind, current, proximity to banks, shallow areas and other ships is necessary to investigate if large ships can sail safely in the Belgian and other waterways. This is not only important for these large seagoing vessels, but also for smaller and faster ships and hydrofoil vessels.
